A Message From Our Chief Medical Officer Regarding COVID-19
Tampa Family Health Centers' number one priority is ensuring the health and well-being of our patients, our staff and our community. We are monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak and are working closely with the Hillsborough County Florida Department of Health to ensure that Tampa Family Health Centers is adhering to the guidelines set for by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and sharing the most current, accurate information.
Tampa Family Health Centers will continue to monitor the rapidly evolving situation and will share all updates in a timely manner with staff, on social media, and on our website. Some key information as it relates to what we know today.
- For most people, the immediate risk of being exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to be relatively low.
- Travelers returning from affected international locations where community spread is occurring are at an elevated risk of exposure.
If you have a cough, fever and/or shortness of breath or have come into close contact with someone known to have the coronavirus and/or have traveled outside of the country within the past 14 days, please stay home and contact the Hillsborough County Florida Department of Health by calling 1 (866) 779-6121.
